School Improvement Plan

2025-26

Goal 1

By June of SY26, overall performance of K-2 students will increase Low Risk band performance as measured by the Spring VALLSS by accomplishing the following gains.   

  • Kindergarten fall to spring Low Risk: from 59.26% (32/54 students) to 79.6% (43 students) 
  • 1st grade fall to spring Low Risk: from 56.41% (22/39 students) to 71.8% (28 students) 
  • 2nd grade fall to spring Low Risk: from 54.55% (36/66 students) to 71% (47 students) 

Goal 2

By June of SY26, overall performance of 3-5 students will increase from 88% to 90% as measured by the Spring SOL English assessment by accomplishing the following gains. 

  • 3-5 Black- from 55.56% to 64.7% (18 students in FY25 and 17 students in FY26) resulting in 10/18 passing in FY25 to 11/17 students in FY26 
  • 3-5 Students with Disabilities- from 69.7% to 70.58 (49 students in FY25 and 32 students in FY26)   34/49 students passed in FY25 to 24/34 students in FY26 
  • 3-5 Pass Advanced- from 19.5% to 23% = 44/224 students in FY25 to an increase of 53/231 students in FY26 

Results: 

  • 3-5 Black-   7/16 students = 43.75% 
  • 3-5 Students with Disabilities- 20/39= 51.28% 
  • 3-5 Pass Advanced- 46/224 students = 20.53%

By June of SY26, overall performance of 3-5 students will increase from 88% to 90% as measured by the Spring SOL English assessment by accomplishing the following gains. 

  • 3-5 Black- from 55.56% to 64.7% (18 students in FY25 and 17 students in FY26) resulting in 10/18 passing in FY25 to 11/17 students in FY26 
  • 3-5 Students with Disabilities- from 69.7% to 70.58 (49 students in FY25 and 32 students in FY26)   34/49 students passed in FY25 to 24/34 students in FY26 
  • 3-5 Pass Advanced- from 19.5% to 23% = 44/224 students in FY25 to an increase of 53/231 students in FY26 

Math Results: 

  • 3-5 Black- 7/16 students = 43.75% 
  • 3-5 Students with Disabilities- 23/39 students passed at 58.97% 
  • 3-5 Pass Advanced: 41/224 students at 18.30% 

Goal 4

By June 2026, reduce overall frequency of the top three offences in office discipline referral data by 10% with a focus on student leadership teams implementing quarterly Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) initiatives aligned with school-wide goals.   

August 2024-June 2025 

  • BSC17: Shoving, pushing, striking, biting another student with no visible injury- 15.00% 
  • BSC13- Engaging in reckless behavior that creates a risk of injury to self or others- 11.25% 
  • BAP1- Interfering with learning in the classroom. 10.63% 

August 2025-June 2026 

  • BSC17: Shoving, pushing, striking, biting another student with no visible injury- 16.57% 
  • BSC13- Engaging in reckless behavior that creates a risk of injury to self or others- 12.58% 
  • BSC13-01- Conduct that affects the safety of others- 10.60% 
  • BES013- Non-written threat, intimidating, or instigating violence, injury, harm to another students/others- 6.62% 
  • BAP1: Interfering with learning in the classroom: 2.65%
