School Improvement Plan

2024-25

Goal 1

By June of SY25, student groups Black & SWD will improve the overall performance by 15% increase as measured by the Spring SOL reading assessment (3-5) or VALLSS (K-2).  

Goal 2

By June of SY25, student groups Black & SWD will improve the overall performance by 10% increase as measured by the Spring SOL math assessment.

Goal 3

By June of SY25, the overall pass rate for both reading and math for 4th grade students will improve by 3% increase as measured by the Spring SOL reading and math SOL assessments. 

Goal 4

By June of SY25, Dare will increase the retention of special education teachers and paras to 93% (excluding retirement and promotions). 

Goal 5

By June of SY25, all instructional staff will implement HMH curriculum with fidelity by maintaining YCSD pacing and completing 100% of module assessments. 

Goal 6

Decrease overall chronic absenteeism rate (CAR) by 2 percentage points (11.92 to at least 9.92) by June of SY25.    

  • Decrease CAR for students with disabilities by 5 percentage points (30% to at least 25%)   
  • Decrease CAR for economically disadvantaged students by 5 percentage points (25% to at least 20%)  

Goal 7

By the end of SY25, the total risk ratio for white male students and students with disabilities will decrease by 2%.
